Episode 64: The Getaway
Joe floors the gas pedal. He hears shots rang out behind him. The cops are shooting. But he's too busy driving and avoiding any traffic.
Finally the shots stopped, Joe looked back to see the policemen entering their vehicle to give chase. At that instance, he didn't see the red light in front of him. As he crosses the four-way intersection a car rear-ends Joe vehicle. Joe helplessly spins out of control and wrecks into a ditch. He sat there for a moment, shaking himself out of the stunning incident. He knew the cops are not far now.
As Joe struggles to get out of his car the cops are gaining fast. Joe finally gets out. A crowded gas station is right next to the ditch. There are already people gathering around his wreck. He got out with the gun, pushing past everybody.
"Watch it! He's got a gun!"
Joe ignored the yelling and screaming. He ran as fast as he can into the gas station.
