Episode 1616: A Bigger Mistake
You watch as Kat awakens with a cough. You sign, partially happy and partially distraught at the fact she is now a vampire. Kat, after observing her surroundings, finally comes to rest her eyes on you. You attempt to smile, but you can tell that she is still frightened. Why wouldn't she be?"Hello Kat. I'm guessing you have questions." You say to her, standing up and coming closer to the vampire newborn. "Well, let's simply skip to the basics shall we? I'm a vampire. Last night, in a moment of weakness, I...killed you. I didn't mean to, it just happened. But I saved you by making you into a vampire like myself."
Kat just stares at you, her mouth open slightly. You begin feeling uncomfortable because of her staring and, after a minute, began getting to your feet. "So that's why I feel this...hunger?" she asks hesitantly
You nod, feeling that this might have been a mistake. "But I can help you, I promise. It can be difficult but I can help you live off animal blood. Together, we can be safe and live a good life. There's a tunnel east of here that leads to a small group that can get us away from here."
At that, she laughs out loud, slightly snorting in derision. "We are monsters and you expect us to live good lives? What makes you think I want to carry on being how I was?" You suddenly feel uncertain as you look at the evil smile growing on her face. "I've only been a vampire for a few minutes, but I know I want to kill people. So if you want to help me, come with me so we can be real vampires!"
You look at her, horrified. You now realize that you have created a monster, but you also know that you lack the strength to kill her. Suddenly however, a dark side of you begins whispering into your mind. It tells you that you should join her. That this was a sign that you can't fight your nature.
