Cyno's Role-Play: Supplements: Space Worlds

Pheta

Pheta, named by United Nations, is a solar system in the SL2 galaxy. Its nearest neighbor is the solar system, Pheta Prime. This solar system consists of one star and one planet, orbiting the star. The planet is habitable. The natives call it Endor.

Dark matter found throughout the universe is actually Ethru, termed by the Endor natives. An overwhelming concentration of Ethru are present in Pheta and surrounds its only planet, Endor, at all times.

Endor

The planet, Endor, has two continents. One continent is at the north pole, while the other continent is at the south pole. The rest of the planet consists of ocean water. The contrast between the north and south serves as reminder that Endor is a world forever balanced between savage frost and verdant heat.

The north continent, Norland, is sparsely inhabited, known mostly for the fierce Riders of Mekh--tall, red-haired barbarian-tribed horsemen who thrive in its brutal climate and raid in search of plunder. Legends tie Norland to the inhuman "Ones" said to dwell beyond the Gates of Death in the icy wastes. Both feared and mysterious, Norland embodies danger, endurance, and the ever-present tension between civilization and the savage forces pressing against it.

The climate of the south pole continent is closer to that of Earth's equator, warm and fertile compared to the frozen desolation of the north. Vast jungles, broad rivers, and rich grasslands dominate the landscape, supporting diverse wildlife and scattered Endorian civilizations. Unlike the harsh, nomadic existence of the Norland Riders, the southern peoples build walled cities, cultivate the land, and engage in trade across the ocean waters. Their culture is steeped in artistry, commerce, and temple worship, thriving in the abundance their environment affords.

Dayton

In this far outreach of the universe, the newly colonized planet, Endor, has attracted many immigrants from Earth. Most immigrants are scholars and researchers from Earth. These academic types are extremely interested on solving the mystery: why are the Endorian identical to humans? Dayton colony, built on the southern continent of Endor, has been the first one. In less than ten years, Dayton has developed into a massive neo-metropolis to support the masses Endor attracts.

In addition to unraveling the human-Endorian tie, many scholars, religious and non-religious alike, intended to understand "Ethru". For the first time, Earthlings are able to scientifically study supernatural events only heard of in legends, fantasies, and imaginations. These supernatural phenomenons are considered as "miracles" by some scholars. And it has became a contraversy of their connection to god.

Kushat

At the exact north pole, is the enclosed city of Kushat. This city, filled with Endorian natives, guards the "Gates of Death". The detail of this ancient and its secret is documented in the "Black Amazon of Endor" story.

Politics and Economy

Nearly half a century ago, the space explorer Captain Stedes discovered the planet Endor, with his expedition funded by the Deckman Corporation. Following the discovery, Deckman established the Dayton colony, which, under United Nations regulations, falls under the corporation's control--though the U.N. retains ultimate authority as the regulating body.

To encourage economic growth and competition, U.N. policy also opened the colony to free investment from any interested parties. The population elects local government officials through direct computer vote, but at present most of these officials are Deckman Corporation executives.

Neither the U.N. nor Deckman has yet attempted to expand into Norland, leaving the frozen northern wastes untouched--and a potential source of future conflict. Within Dayton itself, many Endorian natives have been persuaded to settle and integrate into the growing human city. Still, most of the Endorians continue to live in independent tribal groups, preferring to avoid the newcomers.

Riders of Mekh

A Riders of Mekh are tall, hard-muscled barbarians of the frozen Norland wastes, bred by generations of survival in a land of endless snow and biting wind. Their most striking feature is their long, russet or flame-red hair, worn loose or in rough braids that mark tribal identity. They ride massive, shaggy-furred horses bred for endurance and cold, and their gear is as fierce as they are--patched furs, iron or bronze-studded leather, and heavy cloaks that whip like banners in the gale. Each carries a long spear or curved sword, weapons honed for swift raids and brutal close combat. Their faces are weather-burned and proud, often adorned with scars, paint, or crude tattoos. Fierce and cunning, Riders of Mekh live for plunder and glory, bound to their clan-lords in loyalty and to the wild freedom of Norland above all else. In battle they are a stormlaughing, bloodthirsty, and relentless, feared across the south as wolves of the ice. Their tribe is described in the "Black Amazon of Endor" story.
